The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Burlington.

(Patch Media)

Morning, people of Burlington! It's me again, Danielle Fallon, your host of the Burlington Daily.

First, today's weather:

Breezy with a shower in spots. High: 43 Low: 9.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Burlington:

  1. A local Burlington business owner has been charged with four counts of knowingly and unlawfully possessing illegal drugs. Bruce Erdmann, 62, is the owner of BluePrints etc. on Farrell Street and his home has been the site of several severe drug overdoses since March. Erdmann has pleaded not guilty to the charges in front of the Vermont Superior Court. (Rutland Herald)
  2. A number of concerned citizens have begun protesting the sale of the Superfund site located on Burlington's Pine Street. Protestors have voiced their concern that any development of the site could potentially prove harmful to the environment. In response, Mayor Weinberger says there will be extensive reviews of the site before development begins and that the location could have potential for affordable housing or recreational space. (WCAX)
  3. A Burlington snowplow has been named Plow-A-Tron 6,000 by local students. The robotic-sounding name was inspired by fourth-graders at Franklin Central School while studying thousands in math class. Larry Harrness is currently operating the snowplow. (WCAX)
