Here are the top stories in Burlington today:

1. Almost a month after the city ordered the closure of a homeless camp in Burlington's South End, a group of people still living there say they have no intention of leaving. As of Tuesday afternoon, there were over a dozen people inside the now-fenced Sears Lane encampment. They were supposed to be cleared out two weeks ago. (WCAX)
2. Burlington entrepreneur Russ Scully wants to change the zoning rules across a swath of the city's South End to allow housing to be built, years after a similar proposal failed because of concerns about gentrification. If the nascent proposal advances, the changes would allow residential development in an area now zoned for light manufacturing and industrial uses. It includes a six-acre parking lot that Scully bought last year for $12 million. (Seven Days)
3. Crossing guards are needed as Burlington looks to fill over half their crossing guard positions. (Burlington Free Press)
