Here are the top three stories today in Burlington:
- The former owner of two Vermont ski resorts has been sentenced to five years in prison during the largest fraud case in the state's history. Ariel Quiros, 65, was sentenced for his role in a fraudulent failed plan to build a biotechnology plant with millions of foreign investors' money. Quiros owned Jay Peak and Burk Mountain. (Brattleboro Reformer)
- The South Burlington airport task force has voted to recommend against rezoning land to expand the airport. The Burlington International Airport requested to rezone near Airport Parkway and Kirby Road Extension but the task force's vote has denied it. The Development Review Board has approved a new plan for Beta Technologies' parking issues. (WCAX)
- Memorabilia from the Burlington High School girls soccer team will be featured in the Brighton Museum in the United Kingdom. The memorabilia is from its 2019 equal pay game. During that historic game, some players revealed custom #EqualPay jerseys. (WCAX)
