  1. Residents in South Burlington are on high alert after a series of home break-ins were caught on camera. One robbery was committed by an armed burglar. South Burlington Police Chief Shawn Burke is concerned since this is the fifth daytime burglary and it seems the intensity is increasing. Chief Burke has warned Burlington homeowners to lock their doors and to remain vigilant. (WCAX)
  2. A man has been charged following a standoff with Burlington Police on Monday. The standoff occurred on Ethan Allen Drive and started with the suspect smashing things inside a shared apartment. Daniel Pascoe, 32, was taken into custody without incident and faces domestic assault and unlawful mischief charges. (WCAX)
  3. University of Vermont research out of Burlington has discovered evidence of declining health during the pandemic. The study surveyed nearly a thousand adults and found nearly half reporting anxiety or depression during the pandemic. Forty percent of those surveyed also reported weight gain with twenty-nine percent reporting food insecurity. Concerns mount over chronic health conditions developing over the course of three to ten years. (WCAX)
