Teen Among 3 Killed In Deadly Weekend In Norfolk: Reports

NORFOLK, VA –Three people were killed in shootings over 29 hours in Norfolk this weekend, according to reports.

The first incident took place around 11:20 p.m. Friday near the Villa Terrace Apartments and Druid Circle Apartments, WAVY reports. There, police found a 17-year-old boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police and Norfolk Fire-Rescue personnel attempted lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Less than 24 hours later, WAVY reports, a man was killed in a shooting on the 800 block of Pecan Point at around 9:40 p.m. Saturday. When Norfolk Police responded to the area following reports of gunshots, they were directed to the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The outlet reports that an occupied residence and several parked cars were also hit by gunfire.

Finally, WAVY reports that in the early hours of Sunday morning, just after 4 a.m., a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds at the intersection of West 25th Street and Llewellyn Avenue. Police say the 47-year-old was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
