LYNCHBURG, VA – Four people were hospitalized and a dog was rescued from a fire in Lynchburg on Sunday, according to local fire stations.
Lynchburg Fire Department Station 1 reports that crews responding to a detached home on the 800 block of Second Street at 9:17 a.m. on Sunday found fire visible from one side of the residence when they arrived. Photos show fire pouring from a side window. Four people were taken to Lynchburg General Hospital for evaluation, though their conditions weren't published. After entering the house, crews found a dog, which was also taken for evaluation.
Station 6 also helped with the fire, which the fire department said took three hours to extinguish.
