DWI Crash Into Power Pole Closes Part Of Little River Turnpike

ANNANDALE, VA — Drivers should expect an extended closure on westbound Little River Turnpike in Annandale after a vehicle struck a power pole, according to Fairfax County police.

The westbound lanes are closed between Prince William Drive and Olley Lane while crews repair the damaged pole, according to a 7 a.m post on FCPD's official X account.

Police said the adult male driver was not injured in the single-vehicle crash. Officers arrested him on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Authorities did not provide an estimated reopening time. Drivers were advised to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
