New boundary options proposed for Bren Mar Park ES (annandaletoday.com) — Families connected to Annandale High School could see major changes as Fairfax County Public Schools weighs new boundary options that may shift Bren Mar Park Elementary students from Edison to Annandale. Several scenarios would either give students the option to attend Annandale or move hundreds there permanently, with no elementary boundaries changing. BMP families have until Oct. 1 to share feedback before a January board decision.
2. Three suspects indicted for homicides (annandaletoday.com) — Fairfax County prosecutors have secured indictments in three separate homicide cases, including a second-degree murder charge in the fatal stabbing of a young woman outside her Annandale workplace last November. Trials in the Annandale, Bailey's Crossroads, and Reston cases are scheduled for late 2026 and early 2027. Residents can expect continued court proceedings and testimony over the coming months.
3. High School Football Scores for around Virginia (rocktownnow.com) — Annandale football fans can celebrate a 23–8 win over Park View-Sterling in Friday night's action. A long list of scores from across Virginia, including Northern Virginia and Shenandoah Valley teams, lets you see exactly how rivals and regional contenders fared under the lights.
4.
