ARLINGTON, VA — A possible security incident prompted a ground stop at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on Thursday.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the ground stop was issued shortly after 2 p.m. with a medium probability of extension.
Shortly before 3 p.m., tracking website FlightAware showed dozens of delayed flights at Reagan, including 51 outbound flights and 47 arriving flights.
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority told Patch shortly after 3 p.m. that "there are no operational issues" at the airport, and no ground stop.
No additional details were immediately available.
