Arlington Pride Block Party Postponed Until 2027, Organizers Say

Arlington Pride Block Party postponed to 2027; Pride 2026 events planned at Alamo Drafthouse and Water Park.

ARLINGTON, VA — Equality Arlington announced that the Arlington Pride Block Party has been postponed until June 2027.

The nonprofit said it had been working with Arlington County, the National Landing Business Improvement District, Freddie’s Beach Bar and other organizations, businesses, civic associations and faith communities to organize the event around the 23rd Street South corridor.

Organizers said the decision was made because of the scale of the planned programming, which included live music, performances, food vendors and booths for nonprofits, government agencies and businesses.

“It has been exciting to see so many organizations across Arlington County coming together to shape a community-centered Pride event around the 23rd Street South corridor,” Kellen MacBeth, president of Equality Arlington, said in a statement.

“While our coalition has made the difficult decision to postpone the Arlington Pride Block Party until 2027, we look forward to ensuring that the event, and those that follow it in subsequent years, brings together the Arlington community in celebration of our LGBTQIA+ residents who contribute so much to the vibrancy of our community,” MacBeth said.

Equality Arlington said organizers plan to continue working with the community on a future block party near 23rd Street South, home to Freddie’s Beach Bar.

For Pride 2026, Equality Arlington said it will partner with the National Landing BID to host an LGBTQ+ movie screening at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema beginning at 3 p.m. June 6, followed by a Pride party at the National Landing Water Park.
