Boy Assaulted, Robbed By Group Of Juveniles In Arlington, Police Say

Arlington police are searching for suspects in the attack, which occurred last week.

ARLINGTON, VA — A boy was assaulted and robbed by what police described as a mob of juveniles in Arlington last week.

The victim told authorities that he was sitting in the 3200 block of 24th Street South last Thursday when he was approached by a large group of juvenile males who surrounded him and made threatening statements, Arlington police said in a statement.

According to police, the victim ran from the group, but they followed him and physically assaulted him before stealing items of his clothing and fleeing.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and later sought treatment at a local hospital.

The incident was reported to Arlington County police on Monday at police headquarters.

One suspect was described as a juvenile Black male with a thin build who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall. No additional suspect descriptions were released.

The investigation is ongoing.
