ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County police have obtained arrest warrants for a man accused of robbing and briefly holding another man against his will during an assault inside a residence on Wednesday night.
According to police, officers responded to the 1000 block of Arlington Boulevard around 8:40 p.m. for a report of trouble unknown.
Investigators determined the victim and suspect, who know each other, were inside the residence when they became involved in a verbal dispute.
According to police, the suspect physically assaulted the victim, displayed a gun and struck him with it. The suspect then demanded the victim's phone passcode and prevented him from leaving the room before fleeing the scene.
The victim suffered minor injuries and later sought treatment at a hospital.
During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect and obtained warrants charging him with robbery and abduction. Police did not release the suspect's name.
The investigation is ongoing.
