ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County health inspectors reported a cockroach, sanitizing failures, improper pesticide storage and other violations at several food establishments inspected July 8-10, according to inspection reports released by the county. King Cajun Grill received several risk factor violations after an inspector found garlic-in-oil mixture held at 91 degrees and noodles at 46 to 53 degrees instead of the required 41 degrees or below. The person in charge voluntarily discarded the foods. Inspectors also found multiple peelers, knives and brushes that were not clean, sanitizer in the three-compartment sink that exceeded allowable chlorine concentration before it was corrected, and noted a cockroach crawling on a wall behind the warewashing hand sink. Additional comments directed the restaurant to contact its pest control company, improve cleaning throughout the kitchen and properly cool cooked foods.

Restaurant inspections are conducted by Arlington County Public Health to help ensure compliance with Virginia food safety regulations. Inspection reports identify conditions observed at the time of the visit. The presence of violations does not necessarily indicate an ongoing problem, and many violations are corrected during the inspection.
This report includes only Arlington establishments inspected between July 1 and July 14, 2026, that were cited for one or more health code violations. Establishments with no violations and duplicate inspection reports were omitted.
