ARLINGTON, VA — Le Méridien Arlington has appointed Francecil Ponte as executive chef as the Rosslyn hotel prepares to unveil its renovated property, according to an announcement from the hotel published by Hospitality Net.
Ponte has more than 25 years of hospitality experience. Her career includes leadership positions at The Westin Arlington Gateway and Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.
As executive chef, Ponte will oversee culinary operations at the 156-room hotel, including banquets, private events and in-room dining. She will also lead the dining program at the hotel's new Noble Fox Bar & Terrace.
Menus at Noble Fox Bar & Terrace will feature shareable American brasserie fare, according to Le Méridien Arlington.
Ponte began her culinary career in Venezuela. The hotel said family gatherings around her grandmother's table helped shape her appreciation for the role food can play in bringing people together. That experience continues to influence her approach to hospitality and team leadership, according to the announcement.
Le Méridien Arlington is located at 1121 19th St. North in the Rosslyn neighborhood.
