• Attorney for Virginia man attacked by ICE details incident, gives update on his current condition (wusa9.com) — An Arlington man, Jose Mejia Hernandez, is recovering from serious injuries after an encounter with ICE officers here that his attorney describes as a brutal attack, while federal officials insist only necessary force was used. Hernandez reportedly suffered a brain bleed, extensive bruising, and taser injuries after allegedly fleeing an unmarked car, and his lawyers say he spent days hospitalized before family knew his whereabouts.
   

• LA DEA Officials Encourage Fentanyl Awareness Education (mynewsla.com) — Arlington gets a solemn mention in a national fentanyl awareness push, as the DEA's headquarters here houses the Faces of Fentanyl memorial with more than 7,000 photos of victims. While Los Angeles officials urge parents nationwide to talk with kids about counterfeit pills and fentanyl-laced drugs, the Arlington exhibit underscores how deeply the crisis has affected families across the country.
