ARLINGTON, VA — Kids can try their hand at building video games, programming robots and exploring virtual reality during a free grand opening celebration at a new coding center in Arlington.
Code Ninjas will host a ribbon-cutting and family-friendly activities Saturday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its new location in the Lee-Harrison Shopping Center, located at 2499 N. Harrison St. Suite LL-3.
The center offers coding and technology classes for children ages 5 to 14, teaching them to create video games while developing problem-solving and other science, technology, engineering and math skills.
Students learn from instructors known as "Code Senseis," with programs ranging from introductory coding lessons to more advanced activities, clubs and camps.

The celebration will also feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, free snacks and refreshments, giveaways and raffle prizes.
The grand opening is free and open to the public.
The center is located on the shopping center's lower level.
