Target selected Assistance League® of Northern Virginia (ALNV) to participate in its Target Circle Community Giving program for the third quarter of 2026. The program allows Target Circle members to earn votes for each trip to Target and cast those votes for selected non-profits. The company then awards grants to each selected non-profit based on the percentage of votes received.
Between July 1 and September 30, ALNV received 32,991 votes, resulting in a donation of $2,667 from Target.
Throughout the year, ALNV provides weekend food packets for children facing food insecurity without school-provided meals, as well as new seasonal-appropriate clothing, socks, underwear, and coats. ALNV also provides books for all children in partner schools regardless of need, along with reading tutoring in several of the partner schools.
Assistance League® of Northern Virginia is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to feed, clothe, educate, and support local children from low-income families. ALNV receives no federal, state, or local funding, relying on fundraising, donations, grants, and partner support to help children's basic needs.
