Major Traffic Detours Coming to Reston, Herndon
Work on the Silver Line's future Herndon and Reston Town Center Metro stations will result in detours next weekend.

RESTON, VA — Construction on the new Herndon and Reston Town Center Metro rail stations will result in traffic being dumped onto the Dulles Toll Road next weekend, so be prepared if you're planning on commuting in the area during that time.
Construction will detour eastbound traffic on the Dulles International Airport Access Highway onto the eastbound Dulles Toll Road between the Centreville Road bridge and the Reston Parkway overpass starting Saturday, March 18 beginning at 9 p.m. and continuing through Sunday, March 19 at 5 a.m.
"The detours will allow Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews to set several large precast concrete elements at the Silver Line's future Herndon and Reston Town Center Metrorail stations in the median of the Airport Access Highway," the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project said in a statement.
