19-Year-Old From Sterling Dies After Single-Vehicle Crash On Friday Night: Police
A 19-year-old man from Sterling died on Friday after he crashed his 2020 Ford Mustang on Russell Branch Parkway, police said.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Cristopher A. Lavayen, a 19-year-old man from Sterling died after a single-vehicle crash on Friday night, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Police said they are still investigating the crash and looking to speak to anyone who may have more information.
Lavayen was driving a 2020 Ford Mustang on Russell Branch Parkway near Kincora Drive around 9 p.m. on Friday night, police said in a news release. Lavayen's car eventually left the roadway, struck a fence, and traveled down an embankment.
The car came to a stop when it overturned in a retention pond, police said.

Lavayen was taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
