Abduction In Aldie Leads To Warrants For Manassas Man: Police
Authorities are looking for a Manassas man who is accused of abducting a woman and endangering a child in Aldie on Sunday night.

ALDIE, VA — A wanted man abducted a woman and endangered a child before crashing a vehicle in Aldie on Sunday night, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities said the woman and child received treatment at an area hospital. Police officials did not provide any more detailed information about their condition.
The sheriff's office identified the man as 30-year-old Deyvon M. Newman from Manassas. He is wanted on charges of assault, abduction, and child endangerment. Authorities have been unable to find Newman.

If convicted of all charges, Newman could face up to 16 years in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.
The abduction occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday near Braddock Road and Lenah Crossing Drive in Aldie. The victim told police that a man she knew hit her. When she tried to get out of the vehicle they were in, the man forced her back inside and drove away.

Investigators said the man, Newman, crashed the vehicle shortly after the assault. The woman and child in the vehicle escaped after the crash, according to the police report.
Newman ran away after the crash, authorities said. A police helicopter searched for him, but they did not find him on Sunday.
