MIDDLEBURG, VA – According to Southern Living Magazine, Loudoun County’s town of Middleburg is among the 20 most beautiful places in the state of Virginia.
The magazine writes that “Middleburg exudes a timeless charm, enchanting visitors with its scenic vineyards, rolling hills, and an abundance of green spaces in the heart of Virginia’s wine and horse country.” It also calls out local business the King Street Oyster Bar, and the tasting rooms of the Boxwood Estate Winery and Greenhill Vineyards.
Middleburg, established in 1787, calls itself the U.S. horse and hunt capital and takes great pride in its history. As of 2020, it was home to 669 people.
Old Town Alexandria also made the list, with the magazine citing its cobblestone streets and brick-lined sidewalks.
