Resident Input Wanted On Potential Indoor Sports Facility In Loudoun County

Loudoun County is studying where to build a potential indoor sports facility, what it should include and how much it could cost.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County residents will get a chance this month to weigh in on what they would like to see in a potential new indoor sports facility.

The county will hold two public meetings and launch an online survey beginning Sept. 17 as part of its Indoor Sports Facility Planning Study. Feedback will help determine which sports and activities a facility could accommodate, which amenities it should offer, and where in Loudoun it could be located.

The two meetings will feature the same information and are scheduled for:

Residents who cannot attend can watch a recorded presentation and complete an online survey beginning Sept. 17.

Comments submitted at the meetings or online through Oct. 1 will be forwarded to the project's design team and the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors.

The study will examine community demand for an indoor sports facility, including which part of Loudoun would best serve it, the appropriate building size, potential sports and activities and an estimated construction cost.
