The sheriff's office said the man, who was not identified, was taken to the hospital following the shooting, where he died.

The LCSO told Patch there was "no threat to the community," but would not state whether the shooting was intentional.

"As this was an isolated incident, not being investigated as a criminal matter, no additional details will be released at this time," the agency said.

The XCAL Shooting and Fitness facility includes a gym, spa and shooting ranges, as well as a cafe and retail stores.
