LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County voters will choose a U.S. senator and representative in Congress in the Nov. 3 general election, along with deciding three proposed amendments to the Virginia Constitution and three county bond questions.
Voters in Hamilton, Hillsboro, Leesburg, Lovettsville and Purcellville will also have town elections on their ballots. Loudoun County's official sample ballots confirm the races and ballot questions.
Early in-person voting begins Friday, Sept. 18, and continues through Saturday, Oct. 31. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Democratic incumbent Sen. Mark Warner is seeking another term against Republican Bert Mizusawa.

All Loudoun County voters will also decide three proposed amendments to the Virginia Constitution.
The proposals concern abortion, marriage and restoration of voting rights for people convicted of felonies after they complete their prison sentences.
Each proposed amendment will appear as a separate ballot question.
Every Loudoun voter will also see three county bond questions totaling up to $356.5 million for school, public safety and transportation projects. You can see the questions on the sample ballot here.
Public School Projects: The county is asking voters for authority to issue up to $40.25 million in general obligation bonds for LCPS Capital Renewal and Alterations, the VIEW Transition Academy and other school facilities requested by the School Board.
Public Safety Projects: Voters will decide whether Loudoun can issue up to $35.43 million in bonds for the Brambleton Sheriff Station, Fire and Rescue Station No. 29 — Loudoun Gateway, and other public safety projects in the county's Capital Improvement Program.
Public Transportation Projects: The largest question seeks authorization for up to $280.85 million for transportation improvements, including the Route 15 Lucketts Bypass, Route 15/Hogback Mountain Road roundabout, Route 50/Loudoun County Parkway interchange, Route 7/Route 287 interchange and the county's Sidewalk and Trail Program.

Early voting begins Friday, Sept. 18 at the Loudoun County Office of Elections and Voter Registration, 750 Miller Drive SE, Suite 150, Leesburg.
The office is generally open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be closed on Oct. 12. Additional weekend and evening hours begin Oct. 18.

The deadline to request a ballot by mail is Friday, Oct. 23.
County election officials recommend returning completed ballots with enough time for them to reach the elections office, and the U.S. Postal Service recommends mailing ballots by Oct. 27. Beginning Oct. 18, secure ballot drop boxes will also be available at Loudoun County public libraries except the Law Library.

Eligible voters who miss the Oct. 23 registration deadline can use same-day registration through Election Day and cast a provisional ballot.
