LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Loudoun County School Board so far does not appear inclined to make major changes to elementary school attendance boundaries in eastern Loudoun, according to a new report.
The school board is reviewing the attendance zones for a dozen elementary schools in eastern Loudoun County as part of a regular, five-year rolling process. Two plans were first proposed for the area, one which would leave the zones unchanged and another that would alter six attendance zones.
According to Loudoun Now, an additional plan was proposed by the time of the board's second meeting on the topic, on Oct. 22. That plan would change just one attendance zone, affecting two schools.
The outlet reports that several board members who spoke at the Oct. 22 meeting said they tentatively supported not changing any attendance zones.
The next meeting and public hearing will be on Nov. 12.
