Can You Tell a Story with Pictures? Enter the Art Institute’s Storytellers Photography Competition.

The Art Institute of Washington – Northern Virginia, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, recently announced a search for the next great storyteller. Just submit six original photographs that tell a visual story and showcase creativity and unique point of view. Participants can earn a $40,000 tuition scholarship to the Art Institute in this region.
In addition to the photos, entrants must submit a 500- to 800-word statement describing the entry and a high school transcript or proof of high school graduation demonstrating a GPA of 2.0 or higher. For complete entry details, please visit http://artinstitutes.edu/photocompetition.
The Art Institutes 2012 Storytellers Photography Competition offers separate categories for high school seniors graduating in 2012 and high school graduates. The grand prize winner in the high school senior category earns up to a $40,000 tuition scholarship, while the grand prize winner in the high school graduate category earns a $10,000 tuition scholarship to one of 39 participating Art Institutes across the country.
Submissions are first judged at the local level, with one finalist from each participating school advancing to the national level. The deadline for entries is March 2, 2012.
