Dr. Anil J. Patel, a Leesburg resident and internist who founded and directs the Dulles Medical Group, received the Community Service and Leadership Award from Loudoun County Chairman Scott York (R-At Large). York presented the award, which recognizes leadership and service to Loudoun County patients and citizens that goes above and beyond the expected, at a Nov. 5 gathering of the Loudoun County Indian American community in Leesburg.
“Dr. Patel’s commitment as a physician to our county is unmatched,” York said. “His ‘patients and others first’ approach, generosity, and compassionate service, including helping the uninsured on occasion, have made—and continue to make—an enormous difference in the lives of Loudoun residents daily. We are deeply indebted to him for all he does, and gratefully recognize his example and efforts.”
“I’m honored to receive this award,” Patel said. “We have always striven to provide the best patient care and quality healthcare. In everything we do, we emphasize that genuine caring for the patient is not just an important but essential element of a community medical practice and the effective treatment we deliver. I’m pleased that Chairman York and our patients in Loudoun County agree with and appreciate this philosophy.”
