Ashburn Among Top 100 Best Places To Live

Livability.com has ranked the top 100 best places to live nationally, and gives high marks to Ashburn for a variety of reasons.

ASHBURN, VA — Ashburn is described as a place with high-tech businesses and, well, home of the Washington Redskins for its No. 80 slot on Livability.com's national list of the Top 100 Best Places to Live. The website calls Ashburn a place with a strong economy and an upscale quality of life where the median income for families is more than $100,000.

But it also incorrectly points out that Ashburn "serves as the training site each summer for the NFL's Washington Redskins." Nope, that would be Richmond. Redskins Park is the team's headquarters and practice facility.

Nevertheless, the average home price in Ashburn is $443,600, and and George Washington Univesity and Strayer University are prominently mentioned. The website also points out that the " Beaverdam Creek Reservoir highlights the city’s many outdoor recreation options."
