Ashburn-Sterling Lodge No. 288 hosts Community Builder Awards

Ashburn-Sterling Masonic Lodge No. 288 of Ashburn VA will be hosting an awards event on March 8th 2016 at 7:00pm to recognize distinguished members of our community. Community Builder’s Awards will be presented to Eric George Simon Knaus and Ken and Julia Falke. Eric know by his alias as The Great Zucchini is a popular local children’s entertainer engaged in numerous charitable organizations and fund raising. Mr. and Mrs. Falke are the founders of the Boulder Crest Retreat for Military and Veteran Wellness in Bluemont VA. Boulder Crest is the nation’s first privately funded wellness center dedicated exclusively to our nation’s combat veterans and their families.
In addition to the Community Awards, Ashburn-Sterling Masonic Lodge will be recognizing Scouts from Loudoun County who received the prestigious Eagle Scout rank in 2015. Martin Gruszka an officer at Ashburn-Sterling No. 288 stated “Our lodge sees that the values and focus on service and charity which are exhibited by the Eagle Scouts, are inherently shared by the Masonic fraternity. We would like to acknowledge the common ideals of both civic organizations and thank the Boy Scout community by recognizing their best.”

Ashburn-Sterling Lodge No. 288 is a local masonic organization with deep roots in Loudoun County and rich history. The organization was chartered in 1906 and originally met near the crossing of W&OD railway and Ashburn Rd. Today, Ashburn-Sterling lodge is located at 43881 Waxpool Rd. in Ashburn, VA. It is a vibrant member of Loudoun County community, with many young and distinguished members from the area.
