Ashburn to Get Another Brewery

Ashburn is expecting another brewery this fall, according to a story in the Washington Business Journal.

Old Ox Brewery anticipates a September opening along Guilford Drive in the Beaumeade Business Park, which is street where Old Dominion Brewing Company was located until a Maryland company and Anheuser-Busch purchased it in 2008. The new owners subsequently closed the Ashburn facility.

Since Old Dominion’s departure, brewing experienced a brief hiatus in Ashburn until Lost Rhino Brewing Company opening along Red Rum Drive. The Vintage Restaurant Group, which owns Vintage 50 in Leesburg and brews its own beer, just opened The V Eatery in the Ashburn Restaurant Park along Waxpool Road.
