Ashburn Village Association cuts down over 123 trees/bushes along Ashburn Lake

Removal of mature trees in Ashburn Village, with replacement to be only small plants and shrubs. Loss of habitat, shade and beauty!

The Ashburn Village Community Association has cut down over 123 mature trees & bushes along the 0.4 mile path by Ashburn Lake.

This was done as part of the ‘lakes rejuvenation’ project, but without homeowner notification that the plan would result in the removal of the vast majority of trees in the area.

Further inquiries to the Association indicate that these mature trees will Not be replaced, but rather ground-cover and shrubs will be planted in spring.
