AUDITION for Mary Poppins, the Musical!

It's going to be practically perfect in every way -- and you can be a part of it!

The Pickwick Players, Loudoun's own family-friendly community theater, is holding auditions for Mary Poppins, the Musical, this weekend!

We will have two audition sessions:

  • Friday, Oct. 20, 6 - 9 p.m. at Hamilton LDS Church, 15 Reid St., Hamilton, VA
  • Saturday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m. - noon, at Rust Library, 80 Old Waterford Road, Leesburg, VA

To audition, come prepared with:

  • 1 minute memorized monologue from another musical
  • 16 measures of an upbeat musical theater song to sing. If accompaniment is needed, a pianist will be available.
  • Comfortable shoes for basic stage movement audition. If auditioning for a serious dancing part, come appropriately dressed.
  • Be prepared to read cold readings from the show.

You do not need a reservation to audition, just come at any of the times indicated for auditions. Auditions are held in small groups, first come, first served. Each audition should take about 1 hour. Please send an email to thepickwickplayers@gmail.com to indicate your intention to audition. If you will be unavailable at the listed audition times, please let us know and we will find a way to have you audition.

All roles are open. No roles have been pre-cast. All ages 8 and older are welcome to audition.

The cast of Mary Poppins includes singing and dancing ensembles, a children's ensemble, large and small dancing parts and large and small speaking/singing parts. Production staff and backstage help is also needed and welcomed!
