Authors Best-Selling Ice Creams Opens Brick-And-Mortar Shop In Ashburn

ASHBURN, VA — Small-batch ice cream and coffee are the specialty of a new business open in Ashburn.

Authors Best-Selling Ice Creams opened Saturday at University Commerce Center, 44933 George Washington Blvd., Suite 150, Ashburn, VA. Owner Ahmed Shaffi told Patch this is the first brick-and-mortar location for the business, which started by selling at farmers markets. It was previously branded as Doughboy Creamery.

The business serves ice cream, sorbet, pastries and coffee. For those with a strong sweet tooth, the business offers donut panini with ice cream or sorbet and other toppings.

Temporary hours during the week of April 15 are 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Sunday and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Hours will be expanded at a later time, including later hours on Fridays and Saturdays in the summer.
