We are expanding our 2017 Blessing of the Animals to a Nature theme. This will expand the program to be educational and fun for the whole family and community! This year we'll have events for children from face painting, animal balloon making, moon bounce, DJ and live entertainment. And we'll be helping adults and children discover the wonders of Nature. Sessions will be offered by local veterinarians, naturalists and the Humane Society. Loudoun County Animal Shelter and HART will be on hand to help with pet adoptions.
The Sheriff's Department will have a K-9 demonstration, Virginia State Parks and Loudoun County Park & Recreation will offer in-depth information on Virginia wildlife. Wildlife Ambassadors will have exotic animals for all to see and touch. There will also be lessons on how to build a Butterfly Garden and a tour of our Bluebird boxes. The Health Department will also offer helpful safety tips on Lyme disease and other precautions for walking in the woods. Woofies will offer services, 4H will be on hand with more animals and guides for learning about husbandry.
