Blood Drive to Help Save Lives of Mothers

Join us for the 3rd Annual Hope for Accreta Foundation global blood drive and awareness event, together with ICAN of Northern Virginia, on Friday, April 1 from 10:00am-4:00pm in Sterling VA. April is Accreta and Cesarean Awareness Month and blood drives will be set up across the globe as a way to give back and to help save the lives of mothers. Each location will be attended by a local face of placenta accreta, a serious pregnancy complication that can cause catastrophic hemorrhaging. Blood transfusions are sometimes necessary to save the life of the mother after giving birth. Local survivors and blood recipients will share their personal stories of why blood donations are so important and to thank those who give the gift of life.

The event will take place at the Inova Blood Donor Center (45745 Nokes Boulevard, Sterling, VA 20166). We will have refreshments and great door prizes from Bathologie, Team Beachbody, Greenplicity, Jamberry, Lemongrass Spa, Stella & Dot, Soupergirl, Sugar Shack Donuts, Usborne, Wegmans, and Zoobooks.
