Boxing Champ Tori Nelson at LA Boxing Sept. 22
The Ashburn resident worked her way up to the top of the WIBA Female Middleweights.
Ashburn mom and Women’s International Boxing Association Female Middleweight Champion Tori “Sho Nuff” Nelson has planned an event Sept. 22 for fans to come down watch her prepare to defend her title in an Oct.13 bout.
The training event is open to the public and runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at LA Boxing in the Broadlands Shopping Center.
In the Oct. 13 bout in South Hampton (Princess) Bermuda, Nelson will be fighting Teresa Perozzi, the current Female Middleweight World Boxing Association Champion. Both belts are on the line. In addition, the vacant World Boxing Council Middleweight Championship belt, formerly held by Nelson, will be on the line. The fight makes it possible for one fight to become a three-time world champion.
