Brambleton Town Center Hosts FREE Shred Event

Brambleton Town Center is
hosting a free Community Safety Shred event on

Saturday, May 3 from 8:30
a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot behind the theater parking garage (North
Star/Soave Drive).  The shredder accepts all types of paper documents, manila
folders (even those with rubber bands, staples, paper clips, other small
fasteners); however, binders, plastic report covers, hanging file folders,
cardboard, plastic bags, CDs and DVDs, floppy disks, hard drivers and x-ray
film will not be accepted.  We will have another
truck to shred hard drives with a $10 charge per each hard drive.  Shredding is restricted to individual use only
with a limit of 5 boxes per vehicle.  After the event, all shredded material will be
recycled.

“The shredder can handle as much
as 5 tons of paper.  Last year we reached
capacity before the end of the event, so we recommend that people come early,”
said Steven Theobald, general manager of Proshred Security.
