STERLING, VA — Authorities are looking for a man who brazenly tried to burglarize a home early Tuesday in the 46800 block of Bushwood Court, and the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office believes the home invasion might be related to similar incidents recently in the same area.
In this one, around 3 a.m., the homeowner was awakened by dogs in the house barking, only to get up and find man upstairs holding a container of coins. The burglar dropped the coins and ran downstairs. The victim followed him until the burglar threw a chair at him before fleeing.
Police tried but failed to find the suspect, described as black, 6-2 and with a thin build. He was wearing a black beanie, a tight black jacket, black pants and glasses.
