Broad Run Spartans Varsity Takes Victory Over Tuscarora

Broad Run fired up the offense in the first inning, when Abigail Neff homered on the first pitch of her at bat, scoring two runs.

Broad Run notched seven runs in the fourth inning. Neff, Lauren Enstrom, Lauren Mizelle, Sara Kelly, Erin Cassidy, and Alexa Caras each had RBIs in the frame.

Tuscarora scored three runs in the fourth inning. The big inning for Tuscarora came thanks to a triple by Kari Jacobson and a single by Amber Douglas.

Katrina Potak got the win for Broad Run. She allowed three hits and four runs over four innings, striking out three. Kelly threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Kelly recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Broad Run.

Broad Run collected 15 hits. Mizelle, Casey Kramer, Kelly, Caras, and Cassidy all managed multiple hits for Broad Run. Kramer and Mizelle each collected three hits to lead Broad Run.

Broad Run is currently 6-3 for the season.
