Broad Run Sweeps Loudoun County
Spartans win across the board in matchups with cross-county rival
Sometimes, it's just your night. Tuesday was just such an evening for the Broad Run Spartans, as they captured wins in every game played against Loudoun County high school. Whether at home or on the road, the Spartans were able to come away with victories in softball, baseball, and boys and girls soccer. The baseball team was the biggest winner of the evening, with an impressive 11-1 mercy rule victory, while the softball and soccer teams earned hard-fought Dulles District wins. Final tallies for the evening were:
- Boys soccer: Broad Run 3 LoCo 1
- Girls soccer: Broad Run 2 LoCo 1
- Softball: Broad Run 7 LoCo 6
- Baseball: Broad Run 11 LoCo 1
The softball win was especially important, as the Spartans remain one game behind Potomac Falls in the Dulles District standings. The soccer teams share identical 13-1 records that are good enough for first place in the district, although the boys team shares the district lead with Park View. The baseball team remains a game ahead of Potomac Falls as regular season district play wraps up.
