Burger Lovers of Ashburn are in for a Special Treat

Wayback Burgers, a Connecticut-based franchise with over 80 locations nationwide, announced it will open a new location at 43670 Greenway Corporate Drive, Suite 104, Ashburn, VA 20147 on February 6, 2014 which marks the first restaurant to open in Virginia.

The new Wayback Burgers will be owned and operated by husband and wife duo Piyush and Alpana Desai. Being from the U.K., the Desais took the ultimate leap of faith moving to the States to embark on their journey into franchising.  After becoming disenchanted with the corporate world, the pair began seeking potential franchise opportunities in Connecticut where Alpana’s family lives. The comfort of a Connecticut-based franchise attracted the duo to Wayback Burgers. After attending the Discovery Day program and getting a taste of the fresh food, the Desais were hooked; but their journey didn’t end there. Having seen the rapid growth and expansion of Wayback Burgers, the Desais wanted to make their mark and debut the restaurant in Virginia.

“Having only moved to Ashburn in September, we can already confidently say that we have selected the best place to open our new restaurant,” said Alpana. “As we settle in our new location, we are determined to partner with local schools, organizations and sports teams in the area to bring together the already tight knit community.”

Wayback Burgers is about serving delicious and fresh, hand-made burgers and hand-dipped milkshakes amidst an atmosphere that hearkens back to a simpler place and time – a time when “customer service” meant something, and everyone felt the warmth of the community. The restaurant offers rich, thick milkshakes made the old-fashioned way by hand, using only fresh milk and hand-dipped ice cream. Wayback Burgers also offers crispy and grilled chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, turkey burgers, and house-made chips, as well as the famous Burger and Shake of the Month.

Stay tuned for Wayback Burgers of Ashburn to host its Burger Bash weekend of festivities. The event will kick off with a ribbon cutting, fundraiser, Triple Triple Burger eating contests, as well as family fun activities and free food throughout the weekend.
