Burglar Brazenly Targets Ashburn Homes: Police
A resident came face-to-face with a burglar Thursday night in Ashburn, after which the suspect fled and hit two other nearby homes: LCSO.

ASHBURN, VA—A resident came face-to-face with a burglar Thursday night in the 42800 block of Bittner Square, after which the suspect fled and tried to burglarize two other nearby homes, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. He's described as 5-9 with a medium build and wearing dark clothing.
The resident reported hearing a loud noise around 9 p.m. and then spotted the burglar, who had gained access by smashing out a basement window. After fleeing the residence, the intruder unsuccessfully tried breaking into two homes in the 42900 block of the same street.
LCSO officers scoured the area along with help from the Fairfax County Police and the Virginia State Police but came up empty. Authorities say there's no threat to the public. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-777-1021.
