Car Stolen During Test Drive + Dominion Power Scam: Loudoun County Crime Report
Police in Loudoun are investigating several crimes, including a car stolen during a test drive and a scam targeting Dominion customers.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A car was stolen during a test drive in Sterling on Thursday afternoon, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Other incidents reported to authorities included a scam targeting Dominion Power customers and a traffic dispute that led to a gun being displayed.
Around 12 p.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to the 46800 block of Graham Cove Square in Sterling. There, a man told police that he had listed his car, a black 2018 Dodge Charge, for sale online.
The seller was contacted by someone who wanted to test drive the car, according to the police report. Two people arrived and test drove the car, but they never returned. Authorities are still investigating the theft.

Around 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to a traffic dispute in the 100 block of Drury Circle. One person reported that another driver displayed a firearm during a dispute. Police said that the accused driver was identified and located, but the case is still pending.
Another vehicle was stolen in Ashburn on Thursday. The victim told police that they left their 2011 Toyota Rav 4 in their driveway. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were inside.

The sheriff's office received a report of a scam targeting a Dominion Power customer in Sterling. The victim told police that he was contacted by someone claiming to work for the power company. The person said that the victim's power would be shut off unless he sent money through Zelle, which he did.
