Care Center Employee Stole From Residents In Sterling: Police
A man was arrested Monday for bilking more than $140,000 from two residents of a care center in Sterling

STERLING, VA—A man was arrested Monday for bilking more than $140,000 from two residents of a care center at 46531 Harry Byrd Highway, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Alvoid W. Washington, 35, of Laurel, Md., was charged with three counts of obtaining money by false pretenses, two counts of financial exploitation of incapacitated persons and forgery.
Washington was a social services director at Potomac Falls Health and Rehab Center. Between November 2017 and April 2018, he used checks and check cards to steal the money from the victims, both of whom are now dead. He fraudulently obtained power of attorney from one victim.
