Cat Abandoned in Sterling Parking Lot

Loudoun officials release surveillance images, ask for public's help.

The Loudoun County Department of Animal Services is seeking information regarding the identity of a woman who may have information regarding the possible abandonment of a cat in a parking lot in Sterling.

Animal Services received a complaint on Wednesday afternoon from the Walmart at 45415 Dulles Crossing Plaza, near the Dulles Town Center, regarding an abandoned cat.

The approximately 8-year-old, female brown tabby, a domestic short-hair cat, appears to have been abandoned in a shopping cart in the parking lot of the store, with a bag of food, a green plastic bowl, and a black and white polka-dotted, king-sized pillow sham.
