Chesterbrook Academy(R) Students Sort Candy Donations for Troops in Honor of Veterans Day
Students donated more than 2,000 pieces of candy for U.S. troops and their families

On Nov. 7, preschool and elementary school students from eight Chesterbrook Academy schools in Northern Virginia worked together to gather and sort more than 2,000 pieces of candy for U.S. troops. Students from Chesterbrook Academy locations in Ashburn, Herndon, Sterling and Vienna gathered at Chesterbrook Academy Elementary & Middle School in Sterling to sort the candy and package it for delivery. Each year in honor of Veterans Day, Chesterbrook Academy schools participate in the project, called Operation Gratitude, as a small token of their appreciation for our brave servicemen and women. The candy will be distributed to USO locations in the Baltimore-Washington metro area and to children who have parents deployed in war zones.
