Cold Weather Shelter To Open In New Loudon County Location

With sustained cold-weather months nearly upon us, the Loudoun County Cold Weather Shelter will open Nov. 15 at a new location.

STERLING, VA—With sustained cold-weather months nearly upon us, the Loudoun County Cold Weather Shelter will open Nov. 15 at a new location: the Sterling Community Center, 120 Enterprise Street. The Loudoun County Homeless Services Center in Leesburg is under renovation, prompting the shelter's change in location.

The shelter provides a warm sleeping environment and is open 9 p.m.-7 a.m. seven nights a week through March 31. It also provides case management, mental health services and other resources. A photo ID is required for admittance.

Loudoun County will provide free transportation to the shelter, with a shuttle bus departing at 9 p.m. daily from the Douglass Community Center at 405 East Market Street in Leesburg. Click here for more information.
