Cost To Gas Up In Ashburn Before Christmas 2017 Travel
If you're planning to drive to a holiday destination in the next few days, you'd be wise to wait a bit before pulling over for a fill-up.

ASHBURN, VA — If you're planning to drive to a holiday destination in the next few days, you'd be wise to perhaps stay on the road a while before you get that next tank of gas. That's because, according to GasBuddy.com, Ashburn's gas prices are around 30 cents more expensive than the Virginia average.
Around mid-day on Thursday, prices in the area averaged about $2.55 per gallon. Statewide, the average is $2.23. Nationally, we're talking an average of $2.42, according to AAA.
One station had the lowest price per gallon at $2.53: the Exxon at 22405 Flagstaff Plaza. Next up also were Exxons, at $2.57 per gallon: 43305 Junction Plaza, 43971 Farmwell Hunt Plaza, 21880 Ryan Center Way and 43740 Parkhurt Plaza. Nearby, though, Leesburg's gas prices, on the low end, average about $2.26 per gallon.

From Dec. 23-Jan. 1, the travel safety organization says 107.3 million folks will hit the road, as it were, via planes trains and automobiles. That would be the highest year-end travel volume on record — and a 3.1 increase from a year ago.
