Counterfeiter Dupes Vehicle Seller in Sterling: Police
The victim sold a vehicle on Facebook, and then met the buyer who paid in phony cash, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

STERLING, VA — There was just one problem after a person used Facebook to sell a vehicle, met the buyer and was paid in cash, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
The money was counterfeit.
Around 8:30 Monday night, the victim met the suspect, who claimed to be from Maryland, in the 45000 block of Dulles Crossing Plaza. Vehicle and cash were exchanged.

Only when the victim tried to deposit the money did he realize the bills were counterfeit.
