On the Road
At 7:21 a.m., a crash on Waxpool Road westbound at Broderick Drive shut down most lanes. One lane is getting by the crash under police direction.

At 7:39 a.m., there was a serious crash reported on eastbound VA-7. Traffic was alternating at the crash near Clarkes Gap Road. Follow police direction.
At 7:45 a.m., drivers reported debris on the Outer Loop near I-95 Springfield. All lanes were clear, but delays remain.
Around 7:45 a.m., all lanes reopened after a crash involving a truck on Minnesota Avenue SE southbound near Pennsylvania Avenue. Some delays may remain.
Around 7:45 a.m., there was a crash on I-95 northbound in Fairfax near exit 163. No lanes were closed, but drivers should use caution.
At 7:50 a.m., crews cleared a downed tree on Constitution Avenue NW westbound near 20th Street. Delays remained at the scene.
Around 8:05 a.m., the right lane of I-95 northbound near Lorton was blocked by a crash involving a truck.
On The Rails
Around 7 a.m., Metro officials reported delays on the Blue Line to Largo Town Center after a deer was hit by a train. The delays were cleared by 7:30 a.m.
Orange Line stations are shut down beginning at Stadium-Armory for the summer improvement project. Shuttles are available. Minnesota Ave, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover, & New Carrollton are closed.
Weather
High temperatures are expected to reach around 90 degrees on Thursday. Residents can expect humid conditions with a heat index around 95. A slight breeze is coming out of the northwest, and it will be partly cloudy throughout the day.
